There is an interesting history to the Cambodia casinos that sit just over the border from nearby Thailand, where casino gaming is illegal. Eight gambling halls are established in a relatively small location in the city of Poipet in Cambodia. The newest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort highlights three hundred slots and 70 table games and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has one hundred and sixty six slots and 96 gaming tables, including eighty seven baccarat (the most popular game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Also, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slots and 66 of the normal tables, as well as one table of Casino Stud Poker. One more of the 8 gambling dens in Poipet, again a part of a hotel, is the Princess Casino with 166 one armed bandits and 97 casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in a multinational vacation and hotel compound that highlights a number of luxuries on top of the gambling hall, which provides ten thousand sq.ft. of 130 slots and 88 gaming tables.
