Cambodia Gambling Halls

There is an appealing background to the Cambodia gambling halls that lie just across the dividing line from next door Thailand, where gambling den gaming is not legal. Eight gambling dens are anchored in a relatively small location in the metropolis of Poipet in Cambodia. This collection of Cambodia gambling halls is in a perfect destination, a three to four hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the two biggest wagering locations in Asia. Cambodia gambling dens do a thriving business with Thai blue-collar workers and travelers from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a couple of Westerners. The phenomenal capital gained from the gambling halls ranges from $7.5 million to over twelve and a half million dollars, and there are a couple of limitations constraints for casino ownership. Ownership is assumed to be largely Thai; however, financing sources are ambiguous. The borders are officially open from 9:00 a.m. to 17:00, and despite the fact visas are apparently necessary to cross, there are methods around this, as is correct of most border crossings.
The initial Cambodia gambling dens opened in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were required to close in the late nineties, leaving only a single casino in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a docked boat casino, contains one hundred and fifty one armed bandits and 60 tables. The Naga casino never closes with 42 tables of mini-punto banco, four tables of blackjack, ten of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and a single table each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.
The initial gambling den in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, opened in the late nineties and the Golden Crown soon opened. There are 150 one armed bandits and five table games at the Golden Crown and 104 slots and sixty eight gaming tables at the Holiday Palace. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features 300 slots and 70 table games and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has one hundred and sixty six one armed bandits and ninety six table games, including eighty seven baccarat chemin de fer (the most popular game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Also, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slots and sixty six of the common tables, as well as a single table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the 8 casinos in Poipet, again in a motel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six slot machines and ninety seven casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in a multinational vacation and hotel building that highlights many amenities aside from the casino, which contains ten thousand sq.ft. of one hundred and thirty slot machine games and eighty eight table games.
