Learning From My Wagering Blunders

by Adriel on Feb.10, 2010, under Casino

1st to clarify why I write this article. I have been wagering on the net or at physical casinos for many years. I have discovered, the fixation can take a hold of you and you will not even notice it until you are broke. Especially if you are on a winning streak. I have gone through countless thousands of dollars in a very tiny period of time and to this day on occasion, I’ll go a bit too far. It seems you are just having fun until you start to track your loss and the anguish settles in, and then you continue to tell yourself "I can earn it back" constantly. It does not works. Then you feel sick in your belly and the more you try the faster you lose.

When you see that you are ahead, STAY on the UP! When you start to be beaten, don’t tell yourself, "well perhaps one more" and again and again, believe me, this plan RARELY ever works. Say you are playing on slot games, have an amount set aside prior to starting your play. Don’t go over that boundary, no matter how tempting. If you happen to win, put that in a different canister. Do not spend your profits no matter what. Once you have played through your primary set limit, stop. Head out, regardless if it’s on the net or at a land based casino, don’t stay around. Always keep in mind, there is going to be a different day, a different time.

Remember, betting should be FUN not backbreaking, nauseating work! If you aren’t enjoying yourself, you don’t belong there. If youcannot manage the cost, don’t even start.
